Syncing Your Calendar with CalDAV

If you manage your property’s availability through an external calendar, CalDAV sync keeps your Wink calendar up to date automatically. Bookings and blocked dates flow between Wink and your calendar app, helping you avoid double bookings.

CalDAV works with most calendar applications that support the CalDAV protocol:

  • Google Calendar
  • Apple Calendar (iCal)
  • Microsoft Outlook (with CalDAV support)
  • Any CalDAV-compatible client
  1. Go to https://extranet.wink.travel and select your property.
  2. Click on Distribution > Bookings from the main nav bar.
  3. Find the CalDAV section and copy your CalDAV URL.
  4. Open your calendar app and add a new calendar subscription using the copied URL.
  5. Your external calendar will now show Wink bookings and blocked dates.
  • Wink → Calendar — When a booking is made on Wink, it appears as a blocked event in your external calendar.
  • Calendar → Wink — When you block dates in your external calendar, those dates become unavailable on Wink.
  • Sync interval — External calendars typically poll for updates every 15–60 minutes depending on the app.

CalDAV sync is especially useful if you list your property on multiple platforms. By importing your other platform calendars into your calendar app and syncing that app with Wink, you create a single source of truth for availability.

  • Events not appearing — Make sure the CalDAV URL is correct and your calendar app supports CalDAV.
  • Stale data — Force a refresh in your calendar app. Some apps cache aggressively.
  • Conflicts — If a date is blocked in your external calendar but shows available on Wink, check the sync interval and ensure the calendar subscription is active.
  • Bookings — Manage bookings and CalDAV settings.
